So, tell me friends...do you gamble? How about a gamble on an uberpost? - I'll give you good odds - or maybe just some quickies -

-----------

This week I've played a couple $20 SNG's - one table - I've had limited success in the past but this week it was a 1st and a 2nd no issue - double up to $200 and moving on -

-----------

This blog and my world is getting torn apart - I'm growing the hair out and have had a beard for two months - I'm starting a recording next week - (not the demos or back up tracks anymore - the real recording) and I figure I got one more shot to LOOK like a musician -

besides, even if the hair is thinning on top, I wanna grow it out, grow the bushy beard and the long hair down the sides and walk around with a hat like that guy I saw last night on the WPT - Tim Anders? - that was cool - LOL - I hope if I get old, I look like an old hippie.

-----------

This is Amerika I live in - land of the Religious Right and those for whom Jesus appears to have commanded to "go, and imprison those who disagree with my commands as you interpret them" - I'm resigned to two more years of quasi-fascism from the Right.

Now we have the "Immigration" battle - too many immigrants - boo hoo - too many foreigners - shut the borders.

First off, when you do this - go out to NYC and tear down that goddamn Statue of Liberty - tell the tired, poor, and huddled masses there is no room here - leave us alone. Give it back to France.

Second, when you lock up the borders tight - be SURE you send your kids out to the harvesting fields - we have a convenient arrangement - Mexicans come to work, we let them, they send money to starving family in Mexico or else they relocate to the US - this is NOT work we want - it is farm labor, and they want it -

the current status quo is for them to sneak around, try to cross the border, get the label of "Illegal immigrant" and be shipped back - it's sort of a half ass way of doing things - kinda like Marijuana or the "Don't Ask, Don't tell" policy - the border is porous cause we NEED these people but the voters won't stand for just letting them in, so we make it difficult - we also take honest law-abiding people who are looking to work and label them criminals.

we also put their lives at risk as more and more of them go further into the Desert to try and cross -

We have 41% of the resources in this world we consume, and we're what, 11 percent of the population? - Reality check, people - the world will not allow this to continue -
All it takes is a few more bullshit idiots like GWB and we're likely to find ourselves with a decimated army, low on Oil reserves, becoming the isolationists who shake our heads and insist our behavior has nothing to do with coral being killed or Thousand year old glaciers melting away. We'll be bankrupt from constantly rebuilding thanks to the rather vicious (yet justified) way in which the Weather chooses to deal with our incompetence by creating mega storms and throwing them all over the place.

there is a piece of me that does not believe the America I love will return - it is now Amerika - there is a piece of me that says the Republicans will not lose the midterms and will not lose a major election for the next 20 years - they own the voting machines, remember?

I believe we are a great country because we have been generous with our bounty - we have attracted the best and brightest and may continue to do so. To do otherwise at this time is ignorance.

Furthermore, we are fucking stupid, fiscally bankrupt, and the Republicans in particular have a moral bankruptcy I have not seen since the Pharisees crucified Christ for threatening their money machine.

Unless I die young - (a premonition I've always had, BTW) I believe I will live to see the death of my nation unless we, the voters, send such a landslide to congress that not even rigged Voting machines without paper trails will be able to hide the Democratic Majority keeping an eye on the smirking chimp.

I got a lot of hope, but I know my history, people - it repeats itself - we are on a nasty fucking road.

I plan on documenting it, BTW - what the hell - if Rome is burning and you got marshmalllows, grab a stick and write down who is raping who, cause there will be payback -

I have a new development - a new problem, as it were - not a biggie but a small one

I have a new boss - new boss has a jones for poker playing - as in, She already plays online at Full Tilt and one or two days a week elsewhere -

we have discussed poker a bit - I have not revealed my online name but she has told me her's - but when I say Boss, I mean my Manager-type boss -

I would REALLY like for this blog and my work to remain totally seperate - so I can say thinks like I bought a Volcano Herbal Vaporizer that kicks ass - I would like to be able to bitch occasionally without consequences - I like my job, but I don't like consequences -

time is starting to feel right for change.

Mike Schneider has won the Party Poker V tourney - it's not WPT, so it's not big news -

This is Schneids, as we in 2+2 know him - a very young looking UofM player who I've had the benefits of playing with once at a 2+2 private home game -

Unless I found out he used multiple entries, (which I don't think he did), this would have been the first time I had played with a WPT champ, had the WPT still sponsored this tourney - LOL -

congrats, Mike - awesome -

in that home game he looked so young I thought he'd be illegal - not in MN - but yah, he just turned 22 - lol - millionaire at 22 -

you better get laid, bro - by lots of cute sorority girls who want to use you for one night stands - :)

all right, I'll post - - do you miss me? :)

I'll even talk about poker as I moan on obsessively and sad and smoke-filled -

My last 4 tourney finishes have all been final table finishes - 2 8th's, a 9th, and a 3rd - my ROI is way up considering my last 4 tourney finishes BEFORE these were all approx. 8% left of the field, with barely double my buyin back. - 600 average players - I'd die in 41'st - this is variance coming back for vengence - and her rewards are greater then her suckouts if I play right, so there.

After taking a respectable 9th from giving up 5/6th of my stack with KQ to AK, I have retreated to a 54 player tourney $30 buy in PL - I'll play these a lot cause it's so much easier for me to make the money in smaller field tourneys, and esp. final tables - people have a hard time playing post flop these days in poker, and PL is a way to get some of your postflop skills sharpened.

I'm getting to the point where I can sorta start crushing noobs on the battlefield - the pros, however, they're still handing my clock to me. that Stars 215 still eludes me - but their time will come - time was I didn't know what a profitable poker player feels like - feels pretty good -

but I don't play it much - usually only when I triple my BR - then I take out 2/3rds and start again - saving money, paying off bills - I'm out of debt again partially to poker - which is what I've wanted.

I just gotta be smart - don't burn out on it - but I got so many things on my plate now, very little chance of burnout - I assure you -

at least not at poker.

sometime today, my checking account will be credited with two weeks pay and a bonus. This money will put me completely out of debt - (all I got left is the TV, really) -

if I can survive the job and the week, I SHOULD be ok for a few days - time enough to recollect my sanity and figure out what I should do.

I'm back at square one, with a clean financial slate and a lot of expendable income coming in - housing looks cool - but I'm not sure what I'll do.

but getting back into hock with more toys not one of them - cheap toys - the $119 slide guitar - then if I get good I'll buy the $500 one - LOL.

I just played a $100 PL game and was one seat from the bubble when AQ hit KJ and got outflopped -

I'm so disgusted I signed up for a limit H/L Stud tourney... - cause it was only $10 - and loaded up on chicken wings, mountain dew, and meat lovers pizza.

I am reverting to a college form of decadance - LOL - but that was pre booze - so no biggie -

I would like to see a Contract for America for the Democrats - and these are issues we would bring up in Congress with a Democratic takeover of Congress in 2006.

1. - Serious investigation into the abuses of the Executive Branch, and if necessary, (and it is appearing it is becoming so) impeachment hearings. It is the duty of Congress to maintain some oversight into the President's actions and this Congress that is bought and paid for by Republicans won't do such a thing. We clearly have a President who has no qualms about violating the rights of Americans, and it's time Americans took drastic action to correct the mistake of 2004 - assuming it was a mistake and just not another outright purchased election

2. - The decriminalization and regulation of Marijuana and Hemp products - this focuses on both reducing the criminal penalities and reclassifying Marijuana as a class of drug similar to Cigarettes and Alcohol. We would also establish a platform for industral hemp and grant farmers the right to add it to their rotation of crops - it will be a GREAT help for American farmers. We will repeal criminal penalities for cultivation and consumption - the original laws written were racial and it's time we admit it and say the war on Marijuana is one based on ignorance, racism, and profit and we won't allow those men to tell us that this product, a naturally growing and occuring product in this country, to be considered illegal to enjoy on a personal basis.

On a side note, Marijuana smokers need to wake up and simply say they will no longer cast a vote for any candidate that thinks they're a criminal for smoking marijuana. By and large, the number of Marijuana smokers who feel strongly about the issues number enough to overcome the slim margins that most elections today become, and they need to educate people on the benefits.

3. - Environmental responsibility - We will accept the fact that we are parasites on nature, and will use what natural resources we have left in a full boar drive for alternative energies - at some point, when oil runs out, we will have two choices - find substitutes or revert to the stone age - I'd like to think my kids will live in a BETTER world, not a worse one - so Environmental regulations and a commitment to renewable living is key - It will reduce health care costs by virtue of simply making people sick less often - it will reduce our footprint on this country's natural resources, and it's the right thing to do for the next generation -

It's like Republicans are this greedy old miser who bought the farm with the family money and then had it in his will that the farm is to be burned when he dies so no one else can have it - this is unacceptable.

4. - A commitment to Freedom of ALL RELIGION, and a commitment to allow our laws to follow a moral code of rights, as given to us by God, but that it is not all right for Religious Faiths to write their beliefs into law - American's freedom starts with Freedom for all Americans, and too many now think that America is here to start their new "heaven on earth" with their moral code written into law and we will resist those people viciously. If those people move to South Carolina and start writing State Law

5. Serious National Campaign Reform - it's a disgrace that we have crap like Ohio and Florida going on every year - national standards for Federal elections should be enforcable and election/lobby reform is key - Republicans have brought the moneychangers into the halls of Congress, and it's time to give congress back to the People, not the special interests.

If the Democrats do this, they will win in 2006 - they will win it all, and they will do the right thing by trying to implement this contract with the American People -

due to the large numbers of idiots who are upset about the fact their favorite heroes are LOSERS, who CHEAT, and they can't ACCEPT it, I have decided to add comment moderation - I would set it up to just weed out anonymous cowards, but I have found said cowards usually just end up starting a quick account and posting again -

people with dissent I can stand - almost tolerate, but these boneheads - man.... where's a good fatal flu epidemic when you need one.

some people would do a better service to humanity if they would just take Walter Matthau's advice, and pull their lower lip over their head and swollow.

-------------------

got another final table on a tourney, but ended up with 8th when I pushed with 66 and got called by T7 - he had the most chips and was playing every hand, so I sorted wanted a call by crap - too bad he got a 7 - ah well.

-------------------

swear to God, I know I'm a smart guy and all - (MENSA material at one point) - and I know I'm arrogant, but jesus, I'm surrounded by Morons - LOL - seriously - if they ain't writing in telling me to get a life (as if an anonymous poster in a blog comment field can give me any useful advice on finding a life) but they're running me down with T7

nevermind - forget the T7 was suited - LOL.
